og:title

One check, stated three ways: what we measure, what would make it wrong, and how to confirm it yourself.

What this measures

The og:title property and whether it reads as a headline rather than the site name.

Where this check can be wrong

Most platforms fall back to <title> when og:title is missing and the result looks fine, so this check catches the messy middle: an og:title that exists but says nothing.

Verify it without taking our word for it

curl -s https://your.site | grep -i 'property="og:title"'. Then post the link where it matters and look at the card.
