Rich-result markup

One check, stated three ways: what we measure, what would make it wrong, and how to confirm it yourself.

What this measures

The @type values in the page's JSON-LD, grouped into three jobs: who you are (Organization, Person, WebSite), what the page is (Product, SoftwareApplication, Article, Service), and a trail a result can display (BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, HowTo, Review).

Where this check can be wrong

Schema is optional for ranking, so a page without any JSON-LD still keeps 40% of this check rather than failing. A template that emits types the page does not really represent earns credit here and would be caught by hand, not by us.

Verify it without taking our word for it

Paste the URL into Google's Rich Results Test, or run curl -s https://your.site | grep -o '"@type":"[^"]*"' | sort -u.
