OpenHunts invitation code & submission guide

Stuck on the invitation code field? Here is what the official sign-up actually shows, how the free launch queue works, and what verifying the OpenHunts badge does—and does not—unlock.

Independent research by Launcholio. We are not affiliated with OpenHunts. Pricing and queue length can change; official pages are linked throughout.

The direct answer

Do you need an OpenHunts invitation code?

For email + password sign-up, the form asks for an Invitation code. That is visible on the official registration page.

Google and GitHub sign-up buttons are also shown. These are separate flows, but we have not completed an OAuth registration and cannot guarantee there are no further account checks.

No publicly documented universal code was found. We will not invent one or send you to dubious "working code" pages.

If your permitted sign-up option is blocked, contact OpenHunts using the details on its official pages instead of trying random codes or creating multiple accounts. An invitation requirement for one form does not establish that the platform is generally closed to every new user.

Free vs. paid

What does launching on OpenHunts cost?

OpenHunts publishes a $0 launch tier with 20 weekly slots. Its pricing page currently estimates a roughly 60-week standard free queue. A badge can help an eligible free launch get scheduled sooner, while Premium advertises a next-Monday launch. These are the platform's stated terms as of November 5, 2026—not a promised outcome.

If you need to launch sooner

Blocked by the code or the long queue?

An invitation gate is not a reason to buy an unofficial code or break sign-up rules. If a free OpenHunts launch cannot meet your timeline, consider other channels where your actual audience already looks for products. Each has its own eligibility, review time and possible costs.

Practical walkthrough

How to submit your product to OpenHunts

01

Choose an official sign-up method

Open the sign-up page. The email-and-password form visibly asks for an Invitation code. The same page also offers Google and GitHub buttons. They are separate flows; we have not verified that every OAuth user is exempt from all later eligibility checks.

02

Decide whether waiting is worth it

Check the live pricing page before choosing. The standard free queue is currently estimated at around 60 weeks. Premium advertises a faster launch; badge verification is a separate way to request an earlier free slot.

03

If you choose the badge route, verify it correctly

Use the official badge snippet from OpenHunts, put it on the publicly accessible HTTPS product page you intend to submit, then follow their verify flow. OpenHunts says the badge link and image must match its specification and that the badge may be checked again later.

04

Submit the real, publicly accessible product

Use the official submission page after signing in. Prepare an accurate product name, final URL, concise pitch, logo and screenshots. Badge verification checks the badge; it does not approve the product or guarantee a launch slot.

05

Save proof and independently check the listing

Keep your submission receipt and scheduled week if one is supplied. When the page is approved and published, open its public URL while logged out and check the outbound link. Until then, use 'submitted', 'awaiting review' or 'not confirmed' rather than 'live'.

Badge verification explained

What the badge actually unlocks

OpenHunts says you can place its official Club badge on the same public HTTPS product page that you submit, then verify it through the platform. This can make a free launch eligible for earlier scheduling after editorial approval. It is not a Premium upgrade, and it does not bypass product review.

What verification checks

Whether the expected badge and link are present on your publicly accessible site.

What it does not check

Whether your product is eligible for approval, guaranteed a launch week, or entitled to a followed link.

Their instructions specify the original link and image URL, and say the badge must remain visible because it may be rechecked. If you remove it, they may hide the listing. Read the official snippet and decide if those linking terms fit your own site policy; do not add a badge solely to manipulate search rankings.

Badgebuddy can help organize badges on your own site. It cannot grant OpenHunts eligibility or replace verification performed by OpenHunts.

After you submit

Track your submission, not just the form click

OpenHunts controls its review and launch calendar. Your tracker should distinguish an attempted submission from an approved public listing so you do not count pending forms as backlinks.

Submitted

You saved a receipt or confirmation, but there is no independently verified public listing yet.

Badge verified

The badge passed its check. Editorial approval remains a separate step.

Scheduled / approved

You have an official confirmed week or approval notice; record the date and details.

Live / link checked

Anonymous visitors can open the listing and you verified the link to your product URL.

For each channel, save the product URL, directory URL, submission date, proof, latest status, live listing link if one exists, and next action. Launcholio's directory tracker lets signed-in founders maintain their own records; it does not automatically apply to OpenHunts or skip its account checks.

Common questions

OpenHunts invitation and launch FAQ

Does OpenHunts require an invitation code?

The official email-and-password sign-up form includes an Invitation code field. The same page also offers Google and GitHub buttons. We have not confirmed that every Google or GitHub signup bypasses all site eligibility or approval checks.

Where can I get an OpenHunts invitation code?

We could not verify a public, reusable invitation code from OpenHunts. Launcholio does not issue OpenHunts codes. Use the site's official account options or contact OpenHunts directly if the invitation gate blocks your eligible registration. Do not rely on unverified codes from third-party sites.

Is submitting a product to OpenHunts free?

Yes. The official pricing page lists a $0 Free Launch with 20 slots per week and an estimated standard queue of about 60 weeks on November 5, 2026. Free does not mean immediate publication or automatic approval.

Does adding the OpenHunts badge guarantee a faster launch?

No specific schedule is guaranteed. OpenHunts says a verified badge can qualify a free submission for earlier scheduling if its editorial team approves the product. Badge verification itself is not approval, and the badge must remain visible under their stated rules.

Does a free OpenHunts listing guarantee a dofollow backlink?

No. OpenHunts currently advertises dofollow links for free launches that finish in the top three. A paid Premium launch advertises a guaranteed dofollow link. Search-engine rankings and traffic are not guaranteed by either. Always inspect the live link and follow search-engine link policies.
