Launcholio field guides · Last reviewed Nov 2026

Get past the submission roadblocks.

Not another list of 100 websites. These guides answer the frustrating questions founders actually search: Why is my application pending? Is the launch free? What does verification change? When is my listing really public?

Independent guides. Each page links to official primary sources for that platform. Published guidance is not a promise of approval or Google ranking.

Choose by the problem

Which directory makes sense for you?

Still building / private beta

BetaList explicitly accepts eligible pre-launch startups; it currently requires a paid submission.

Live software with real alternatives

AlternativeTo and SaaSHub can reach comparison shoppers, but both enforce restrictive eligibility and review.

Need to launch for $0

Uneed's free queue reopened in Sep 2026; Launching Next offers a free standard submission. Check current dates and rules.

Developer/designer audience

Peerlist Launchpad operates a time-limited Monday UTC window with limited slots.

Blocked by invitation code

OpenHunts has a separate Google/GitHub sign-in route; no universal public invitation code was verified.

Source-backed how-to library

Seven guides, seven specific problems.

A successful form submit is not a live link.

Keep submission receipts and review decisions separate. A pending app visible only to its owner is not a public listing. And an approved listing can still have no clickable link to your product.

Rather ship than fill forms?

Our $49 pilot covers 15 agreed, relevant manual submission attempts, a per-site evidence report and one later link check. It does not include third-party fees, guaranteed approvals or account-gate bypasses.
